We are now getting ready for the trip of a lifetime. Having been talking about it for what seems like years, we are really going to do it. On 15th April 2012, we leave London to travel overland with Odyssey to Australia, travelling the old silk route to China, down into India via Tibet and Nepal. We then leave our truck and fly to Thailand where we continue to travel SE Asia. The trip will take 6 months and we are sure to have many adventures en route. We are now collecting all the kit that we need and having an assortment of inoculations. After Christmas we need to get to grips with the visa side of life which is quite interesting as some can only be obtained within weeks of going!!
Julia and I are looking forward to meeting our fellow travellers and making friends for life. With a fair wind and an internet connection, we will try and update this blog as we go along, that is the intention anyway!
